I'm assuming the last line was the question you intended to post, and not a quote. Look in this thread about how to easily get the serial# of the radio.

What I can't figure out is why the posters from the US don't call Mitsubishi directly on their toll-free number to get their unlock code! They'll give it to you, no charge.

Mitsubishi will make sure they update your contact info in case the car has any new recall information also, so that's an added bonus.

Thanks for replying. I did contact Mitsubishi and they told me that I needed to get the serial number from the radio, then they could supply me with the code. I will check out the site you recommended. Thanks again.

Hey I'm sure glad i saw this post.

So yesterday i get all dressed up to go to my graduation, 7:00 in the morning i go to my car and my window is broken.
