Hi Everyone, this is my first post even though I've had 5 mitsubishis over the years gone by. I should have been a member long ago!

I'm currently converting a 1987 Mitsubishi Tredia to run on electricity but I've found the gearbox has a little bit of a major hole in it. :)
Does anyone know if the Cordia gearbox (supershift or not, doesn't matter) will fit this model?
I assume the gearboxes should be the same as they're cousin cars.

The car in question is at my electric vehicle conversion website www.KiwiEV.com

Thanks and gidday from downunder everyone!

I've figured it out!

In case anyone else stumbles upon this post via a google search, the answer is yes. Mitsubishi Tredia and Cordia Gearboxes are the same - or at least they are swap-able.
I now have a nicely fitting Cordia gearbox in my Tredia with an electric motor strapped to it instead of the old engine (which is in a recycling plant or landfill somewhere by now)! The electric car project is ticking along nicely. I invite anyone with 5 minutes to kill to pay a visit to www.KiwiEV.com
