I recently bought one of the 4 J20 series SWB 4x4 "Jeeps" built in 1975 and sold by Colt UK from Cirencester in 1980.
Mine is a J26 soft top with full height doors side and rear.

If anyone has any information on the ballast resister then I would very much appreciate hearing from you as the one fitted is a little ceramic item which at some period has cracked so I'm looking for a replaement.

Engine = Astron 2.4 (same as was used in the Colt Gallant?.
I believe this indicates the engine was manufactured by Mitsubishi in Austrailia and also that the J20 was the forerunner of the Mk1 Shogun ?

Currently it's in with the Cheltenham dealership having the timming re-adjusted as a former owner had incorrectly set it up causing the top end to heat up quickly.

Kind regards, Bernard (Tewkesbury)
