Hello Mitsubishi Forum Members,
My remote door lock clicker stopped working along with the radio, interior lights, sunvisor mirror lights, driver master door lock button and the trip odometers reset to zero when the key is out. When the car is running the only one of the above that will work is the drivers master door lock, all the rest remain dead. This all happened at one time and no fuses appear to be blown. One suggestion I have received is that the ignition switch is bad. Any other suggestions?

This is exactly the same problem that I just posted. When I shut the engine off and I quess remove key it appears that the battery is removed from the circuirt, as all the same things happen as you posted. There is no problem re-starting the car, just have to re-code radio.. I called three dealers and all claimed not to have heard of this problem, but one dealer said it did sound like a ignition swithch problem.

I haven't tried the ignition switch replacement yet but that's what I 'm going to do when I get around to it. My dealer said it could be any number of things. I see that as a good reason for him to spend a lot of time, and my money, doing diagnostics and then maybe coming to the same conclusion. When I'm ready, I will simply take it to my garage and have them replace the ignition switch and hope that solves the problem.

I took my 2000 Galant in for the exact same problem. the first repair shop could not find the problem. I took it to a different repair shop and they found the problem in about an hour. The problem was a fuse for the computer. The computer lost power when the key was off. The fuse was replaced and everything was good. I also asked 2 dealerships about the problem and neither had ever seen or heard anything like it. Life is good again!
