I have recently bought a 2002 Spacestar Mirage which I am generally very happy with apart from the stock head unit which is pants. Is there any way of me to replace the head unit and keep the MPG/temp/clock display? My rapidly fading memory seems to remember seeing a unit that you plug in behind the head unit when you have replaced it but I can't find it again!

Please help

Phil

some aftermarket head units have adapter modules you plug in to allow this interface but you would be best to either consult a reputable stereo shop or consult your local dealer as they may be able to tell you what brands may be of use.one other option is to remove you current unit and see who the manufacturer(sony, phillips etc.) is as they may make newer models that will suit your needs

hey i dont know if you have changed it yet but i swapped my stereo over today the temp and clock stays u lose the radio station and also which ever setting you did not have on the fuel meter i set mine to how many miles i have left till next fill up which you can change it to on the head unit before changing.
so if you dont mind sticking with one setting i would not worry.
