haha. i got pulled over locally for rounding a corner at 65 in a 30 mph zone. luckily he wasnt on the stretch before that :P. but yea, i got speeding ($200), careless operation of a motor vehicle (20+ mph over, $50), wreckless driving (30+ mph over, $80), and had to go to court for it. luckily they dropped careless and wreckless charges since it was my first offense EVER in my two years of driving, and they let me keep my license haha.

thats nothing... I have had waaaaaaaaaaay worse than that in my 5 years. The most I ever dropped on a ticket was about $2000. Not proud but you know:

86 in a 60
Construction Zone
Workers Present(although i saw none)
Failing to Signal a lane change
Following too closesly
Failure to yield immediatly to an officer of the law
Wreckless Driving(not true)
C&I(careless driving, also not true)

QUOTE(evil-G-nius @ Apr 23 2007, 10:48 AM)
Did it ever occur to you that the reason you didnt reach the claimed 147 mph due to the fact that you had EXTRA WEIGHT in the car!? Your buddy adds pound and that will in turn slow the car down. You may have eventually been able to hit 147 again...just not in the same distance!

He said he was going down-hill at a 15% grade. Therefore with the force of gravity the more weight the car has the better it will move, with no restrictions.

thats alot of money. it suks you had to pay that. i just got my charger impounded for no reason. cop told me i look suspicious. dirty car and like 1300 in cash from my paycheck. now i got impound fees and court fees plus the so called wreckless driving. i was going like 10 miles over the limit. wat an a******e. now i dont have a car to cause my eclipse is in the shop.

seriously, lets try to add some punctuation in there, k? i had to add 9 periods to your post just to make it legible. --Cody

I've hit 130 in my 99 GS when it was stock. I'm sure it will do 140 but i didnt want to sit there with my foot mashed on the floor for another 10 minutes for 10mph more. Pretty much the only thing that happens after the 110 mark is the fuel guage gettin lower. Although i was pretty impressed at the speed for a 140 horse motor. Also, make sure you dont go too much faster than that if you have a sunroof. I dont know what speed it happens at on the eclipse, but the air pressure will eventually rip out of the roof of the car. You cant stop it. thats why vetts and shelby mustangs or anything with high power for that matter has no sunroof. Not many people know that so i thought i'd put it in here so just a warning

something that happened earlier today... ok for the third time ive passed a police officer and they have tried to turn around and catch me..... -.- *cough ******* good luck *cough*

anyways i was going around this corner going about 80-85mph and a cop meets me on the way around i try and brake but nah its not gonna happen so i fly by him and he flashes his lights and slams on his breaks and trys and pulls a U-turn in the road so i drop down to 4th gear and pop it to 100 make a quick turn off via e-brake 2nd gear hauling **** turned off on a dirt road which comes out next to my friends house parked my car and got a ride to college.

pretty badass day, very stupid and almost very costly.

question: does anyone else get a huge **** buzz/high from driving fast and doing **** like this? i think i might be addicted :P

No BS my car did 130 on the dyno with a bad cluch at 5500 rps. Could do MUCH better but ive driven uphill and downhill and can say after 110 or so its squirly. How fast is top speed??? Ill ask the dyno guys to find out after my new cluch, how fast is safe.. 75mph , how fast till your out of controll under the best condition 110mph. Whatever you choose to do is up to you. Where i live their was 2 kids streetracing in coeur d' alene idaho and one car hit another car and killed the passenger. The other car flipped. The driver of the car that hit the other car got 25 years. the guy he was raceing got 15 years. Google it if you dont belive me. Oh and they where only at 60-65mph.

Be safe..!

i had mine up to 140 drafting off a cobra and i took FOREVER to get there. now mine after engine rebuild gets to 120 pretty fast then slowly goes to 135 but i havnt pushed it past that YET. if u r going to go that fast make sure u can stop. DRILLED AND SLOTTED WITH STAINLESS STEEL BRAKE LINES. makes a world of difference. u can stand passengers straight up out their seat if they r not weaing a seat belt then they put it on quickly. ha ha
