lol well, if your GS had the power to push it and the tires to handle it, your fuel would cut at 7300 RPMs in 5th gear at 162 MPH. but your GS isnt that fast lol. its not governed, but it will reach around 115-120 MPH before pretty much giving up when its stock.

My friend toped out his 2g talon at 126 one day when he was late for work. Fastest I went in my car was 90-100 I think.

I am pretty sure all 2G's ave a speed governor. I think the 126-130 range is more realistic of how fast you could possibly go...especially without any mods...it would take forever to get there but you could do it. And if you have ever been to the cars limit where that fuel cut off is..you'll know! Your foot will be on the floor and nothing will be happening. Its a little weird but....

Yeah and as far s safely goes...Slow420 is right.

in response to the above avatar

:460:

but yeah, not all of them have a speed governer, and you can easily take them off. But before you ever reach that top speed you will:
A. Run out of gas
B. Run out of road
C. Run out of life

Yeah I just got my car 2 days ago and I didn't know its handling very well and I was kinda late for a meeting So I just floored it till I hit that range or speed. Also I had a bad cv shaft and I didn't want to end up in the ditch or something. Now my speedometer doesn't work so I don't know how fast I'm going at all well I know 2500 is 60:)(it worked for a second one time)

Fastest Ive rode with somebody was 120 in a 1965 Chrysler New Yorker, All Stock. It sat for like 20 years did engine maintenance to get it to run and then got bored one day and my friend toped it out. The shocks sucked as we hit a bump and it felt as if I hit my but on the road. I probably did.

You guys are missing the question it was "What is my top speed?" .
Let's look at this question closely...The eclipise is not an Indy Racer, not Top Fule etc and only weighs 3 grand on a good day and altho the body is very sleek and has almost nooo 0.29 drag. (Best in the auto industry)

What's gonna keep it on the ground once it gets to say 160 mph???

And don't say body kit there have been none that are on the market that have been Wind Tunnel tested, so once a little taste of air gets under that little car at that speed....Well you get the picture. :)

My Uncle told me some kin we have did just that in the same type of car and all I can say is man you better be cool or else you gonna get beamed up!!!
