QUOTE(danvo @ Apr 25 2007, 08:52 AM) Hi all, I found spider webs inside the taillight @ 21,000 km . Bring to service they cleared out light but could not clean all areas of light Service advisor to speak with Mitsubishi Canada to find out if replacement would be covered What do you think? Please advice. Many thanks Would spider webs really have that much of a visible affect?could you actually see the web inside? The light should be sealed anyway so if a spider can get in that would say its a faulty unit, does it also fill with condensation? On a non related but still on topic of spiders note i used to have a small spider that lived in my wing mirror, the lil guy was nuts, hed stick his head out and decide to do a bit of work on his web when id be driving on motorway at 70, everytime i washed car he'd hide inside the mirror and come back out and build the mirror once i finished. Then one day he just disappeared :(

Damned, that must be a very stupid spider! Expecting he can catch some fly to this web  . But it can be some insect in larval-stage as well, I mean some worm trying to pupate.
But anyway, leaving this entomology area, if you or somebody else did not manipulate with the lamp, eg changing light bulbs, then it is inproperly sealed lamp. Probably manufacturing mistake. The question is just how to prove that you did not touch the lamp ever.
If this will not be solved by changing the lamp under guarantee, I would remove and disassemble the lamp (like you would have to change the lightbulb) and put some water in. To shake well and to get rid of that ****. No cleaning stuff added, just a mechanical way to remove the web. It would be hard to find some chemikal dissolving the spider threads :P . But take care! Use distilled water, chemically pure water. Otherwise after drying the inside of the lamp you can get spots/blurs on the lamp from inside as a mineral residuals of the evaporated "dirty" water. And of course, let it dry well to not get another problems, this time problems with condensing water.
Good luck
