Any suggestions/pics of a good exhaust. I have a 01 Eclipse GS and Im trying to do something nice but I dont want it to sound like a microwave. I also want to do stuff to the stock engine so Im not like one of those Civic fags with a 4cyl engine and a $500 exhaust...honestly I see no point in that.

any suggestions appreciated

if you go buy a $500 exhaust then you will be better than those civic fags. they go to autozone and buy the universal muffler for $40 and then get their cat gutted or taken out. thats why most of them sound like weedwackers.

anywho, i would suggest the greddy evo II exhaust. i believe its made for the 4cyl. yes its $500 but its well worth the price. i have it and i love it. sounds great. very low. kinda sounds like its growling. if you want to go cheaper, go with the magnaflow. its about $320

flowmasters website shows that they do not make exhaust systems or mufflers for the 3G.

My friend has a aurospeed cat-back and it sounds awsome and agressive. I have a greddy and it sounds good. if you don't like what you ahve you can always get the resonators removed.

they make a muffler for the 3G. its called the N1. some people get a custom catback made at a local shop and use this as the muffler

are you sure that exhaust is made for the 3G. i could only find it being made for the evo.

anyway, you might gain 10whp at most

i have an 01 gs. i went to the muffler shop and had them do some work. they increased the size of the pipe from the header back by 1/8 of an inch. they removed the resonators and left me with the single cat. on the back was a magnaflow muffler. it sounds great and gave more acceleration. it doesn't sound like a weed wacker and is not very loud. it sounds like a sports car should.
