I want to clean my air cabin filter, but I don't know where it is. Hope someone could point me in the right direction. I was also wondering if it's possible to add another filter, like the one 3M makes for home window-type airconditioners (just cut it to size). Thanks!

Nice timing! I was messing around with my ecu and had to find the right wires to connect the greddy e-manage. I found my a/c filter and when I removed it it was so dirty. I have to buy one tomorrow because there are alot of dead insects and debris (Im serious, DEBRIS!!)

Anyways, all you got to do is open your glove compartment. Take all the crap out for easy removal. You will see a clip/tab on the left side of the glove compartment. Pull it towards you. The compartment should be loose now. work your way out till you get the right side free then bring the whole compartment down and you should be able to take it off easy.

Once the compartment is removed, you will see a plstic panel secured with two phillip screws. UNscrew it then pull the filter out. Buy a new one and replace it.

Thanks! I tried pulling down the glovebox, and behind it I saw a black box on the left side, and beside it on the right is a white plastic box (similar to the windshield washer reservoir). Which one contains the filter?

OK, there are two screw on it right? Just remove the screws (one on top left, one on bottom right). Then pull it, nothing will leak, it s just gonna be crowded of dirt. I have not found a replacement for it though.

In some cars, filter panels were made black and mine is white. . Teka, pinoy ka pala wahahah

Whoa! Kumusta, kabayan?

Salamat sa pagsagot mo sa tanong ko, hehe :)

Anyway (for those who don't speak Tagalog here), so it's the box on the right? I think I saw screws on it, I'll try checking later. The black box on the left, is that the blower or something?

Here are pictures of what's behind the glove compartment. Which box contains the air filter, the one on the left, or right?

I visited this website http://www.autobarn.net/boschcabinairfilters.html.

Wow, the set-up really looks different than mine (well, ofcourse, hello?? There is a 10 year gap). So not sure now. It is somewhere behind that glovecomp. so it could be easy to replace. Try that black one on the left.

Has anyone found the air cabin filter location on 99 eclipse? Does it even have a filter? The previous owner was a smoker and I was hoping if i could change a filter inside it would ease up on the smoke smell. tx for any help.
