My name is Kev and i am considering being given a Spacestar which my sister
owns at the moment, its a very low milage car in perfect condition and mechanicly sound....Lucky man i hear you cry!!!
But its only a 1.3 engine which for me is a bit of a no no as i like stuff over 2 litres,
aprt from that the car is every thing i want it to be as regards looks and interior,as well as size ect
so does any body now if i can take out the old 20k engine( will sell that?) and stick in any of the bigger engines from other mitsu's???
i would be grate full of any info member could supply regarding sai subject

Well the spacestar was also offered with a 1.6,and the gdi 1.8 and a diesel 1.9(from reanault).Those would be the obvious swaps.Though,its important to remember,if upgrading engine,you will prob need to upgrade suspension,brakes....it may not really be worth it.The cost to swap would prob be more than to buy the bigger power model from start.
