so i'm planning on buying speakers but not sure wich would be better.i want some that sound clear but also have the nice thump without the rattling or distortion.

i was looking into boston acoustics.what you guys think.any other suggestions would be apreciated. :beer:

boston is good, but they don't have the thump that you are looking for in their speakers. The subs they have are amazing though.

For speakers with a decent thump that are really clear, I'd go with infinity or rockford fosgate. If you go for rockford make sure you get the power series, not the punch series.

go to www.sonicelectronix.com they have great name brand stuff and really good prices.

Seem like “outfit your car” speakers size are 6 3/4. Go Pioneer TS-D170 250W for rear and Pioneer TS-A741P 250W for front. I just got them from www.audiovideodimension.com. Great!

i'm not replacing them with those i was just putting the link for them. the subs i'm getting this weekend but i still want clear. i got boston acoustics in my charger that came from factory they sound great.thats why i was asking bout this speakers.
i like their subs but still want to compliment with clear sound ones.i may go with fosgate or may just try both at the shop before making decision.thanxs guys for the imput.

ok so i got some boston acoustic subs well just one 12 and a ten for another vehicle wich one would be best for my eclipse the 12 or ten also i got some rockford fosgate speakers for the clear sound.i want to know wich would be the best amp for me to install.any suggestions would be apreciated subs are the g3 design.the fosgates are 6x9 this kind.

do you listen to rap or rock more often? and are the subs dual voice coil or single voice coil. And are you wanting to amp the rockford speakers as well? Ill send you a pm once I get the that info. I can figure it out from there for you.

actually that would be both that i listen too. but a bit more rock.its there a way that i can have a setup for both that will thump as well. anywho the subs are single voice coil.if its posible to amp the 6x9 would it sound better or its there not much difference if i dont. what do you recommend.

thanks alot nick that really help.i'm going shopping for that next weekend.i'll ask in case i run in to problems.also thank for advicing in the front speakers cause i took those out since they were busted i was just going to do the back ones.but i'll get this cause i'll prolly get better sound.one more thing wich is the best way to run the wiring to the back.like side of car or firewall cause theres no room through there.

I have some Infinity 6 1/2 that I installed in the doors and 6x9 in the back. And I have an Infinity 111x4 rms running, and it is off the chain.
