I am getting very poor FM reception from the radio. MP3, CD, and Aux (ipod) work fine.

Dealer says Mitsu is looking into it. It has been 3 months.

I just got my Outlander 2G in the UK. Although the manual describes an input for an ipod, I can't find one! There is no connector behind the armrest, or anywhere else for that matter. Damned annoying, as I use my ipod a lot.

hi, i'm a fresh user.

i am shopping for a new car as well and i've come to choose the Outlander for the moment. as i want the automatic petrol version i will have to wait until autumn.

today i test drove the current manual diesel version and noticed the lack of the aux input. i use my mp3-player all the time to listen to podcasts but i guess i have to get rid of the habit?

weird. the competition has the aux 3.5 mm plug.

It is very annoying. However, you can burn your podcasts to a CD (I know, not very convenient), or get one of the iradio plug ins that will transmit your mp3 sound to the car's radio. The MusicServer works great though, with around 8GB space (the other 22Gb is for the satnav). And you can burn mp3s to an audio DVD, to give around 40 hours of music! I did this, and although you don't get to see a dvd video when the car is moving, you CAN hear the audio!

I'm sure the next version will have the aux input (after all, the screen DOES display an AUX option).

wouldn't want to mess with the CD/DVD, first - i'm green :), second - i like the automation. Juice software downloads the podcasts (i listen to most of the radio shows this way, driving 45K km a year) and syncs them into my 30GB ZEN.

you mean the autumn versions with auto and 2.2 diesel?

thanks for thinking with me.

Same problem with poor FM reception with me (MMCS). Dealers says that Mitsu has had more complaints and will look to it to find a solution.

Same problem here with radio reception. Something to consider is the amount of interference you will encounter during the normal working day. As a shift worker I get much better reception late at night and early morning. I work at an airport where there is allot of additional interference but as I said late at night and early morning its allot better. I actually live in France and listen to the BBC on am but during the day I get nothing but late at night and early morning its crystal clear.
If anyone should hears anything from Mitsu about this, sure would like to hear.
