A little heads up. I received a recall notice from Mitsubishi stating

"Recently introduced a production change for the 2008 model Lancers that enhances side impact protection by ensuring that the rear door latch remains latched in certain crashes. This additional protection can be added to your vehicle by installing a different rear door quarter window sash."

yup same here...got mine yesterday

i got mine too, does this mean they are replacing that window cause if so i am not doing it because i am not paying to replace the brand new tints

hm....I dont know what a sash is but from the letter ...just seems like they have to replace the latch...probably a bolt on latch....they arn't touching my window unless they want to pay for my tint.

To the guy above me .....do ur tints scratch...if not...how did they do it...mine scratched

he had to put in felt along the windows because newer cars have none

eh I still havent gotten that :/ i think it was accidently discarded tho... do they have a part on the website witht he same info?

just take it to ur dealer they can pull it up on the computer

The quarter window sash is the vertical door stiffener that goes through the window and becomes the divider of the rear power window and the fixed glass.

I got mine installed and it will not affect the tinted glass at all.
