Greetings...
The supply line from the tank is the first (going backward from the filler hose) smaller hose next to the filler hose (The big one) It sticks out or the tank near the top
The return hose is the rearmost line sticking out of the tank near the top
The vapour line is the one hanging over the top of the tank
Hope this helps
Regards Ken

Hi again
The 84 model vans originally were mechanical pump fitted to the inlet side of the head. Just a thought the carbies on these had an electric fuel shut off fitted to help idling & stop run on when you turned the motor off check the wire. Most electric pumps are very noisy if they have no fuel to pump & run quiet when primed how noisy is it?

Pretty noisy, even when it was running,I havent really driven this van much, the head was blown when i bought it,i presume the electronic pump was put in when the 2.6 went in.I replaced the filter which is between the tank and pump but fuel isnt even getting there, theres 4 lines going into and out of the pump, the line on the filter looks pretty old and am wondering if its fully airtight, wud it make a difference?,cant ever rember smelling fuel.Im not sure which carby its got but looks pretty complicated,iv had a few wiring dramas but am pretty sure its wired up as it was.

Hi
These things can be a headache when someone else has hooked things up & you are not sure what they have done. I guess it is just going to be a bit of trial & error follow KEN'S info on fuel line hook up disconect the outlet line to the carby operate the pump see if you have fuel wouldn't hurt to replace the lines pumps will pump air easier than fuel.
Keep us posted
