Hey guys

While playing a song with heavy bass on the wy to class...thhe sub sounded weak. I opened up the trunk to take a peak and the sub sonuds like someone is crumbling paper. I would think since I've had this car for like2 monthes that it could no be blown...can any1 diagnose this..or could I hav blown the speaker.?

My other guess would be the wire got knocked loose from the amp....any1 noe where that is located?

So like I said, it's a Rockford Fosgate. It probably is blown but pull back the cover and unscrew the sub just in case.

We have issues with Nissans and the Rockford crap. I would take it in and they will replace it under warranty.

I'd get the sub replaced anyway, you can always take it out and keep it as a spare in case you aren't happy with a new sub of your choice.

just came back from the dealership..I cracked the sub...they said I put the sub power to high.....ugh....then y let the car settings let it go that highl....the punch wasn't even that high...I think it was 2 up from stock

They said they would replace it in a week....hopefully

Does anyone know if the sub enclosure is molded to the speaker?? I hope there are other subs out there that would be able to fit into that enclosure....any1 try this yet?

they did this when the original lancer came out too, trying to order stuff from the dealer takes forever cause no one has a lot of parts, even any parts in stock. Just be patient and most likely sometime around October they will have a lot more items in stock. Anything new never has all the accessories ready right away, they want to make sure the product sells first

Well you guys live in New York. So it's hard enough to even get a Lancer over there from what i've read. They have a bunch of Lancers in stock and it doesn't take forever for them to order parts, if they for whatever reason don't have them in stock. They also just get a someone to drive to another Mitsubishi nearby and get parts.(Here in L.A./Orange County California)
