hey. an evo VIII generally has a boost of about 18psi.

ways to up the boost?

mmm lets see there are different ways.....you could get a nice big exhuast which would get you probably 2-3 more psi....or you could just get a boost controller and you could set boost to what ever you want so the cost would vary..

It just depends on how much you're prepared to spend on your car

xx

Reduces back pressure on the engine and lets it "breath" easier. So yeah, obviously more hp. Im sure you could prolly get a few more psi out of it. If u want more psi, def just get a boost controller.

Congrats w/an evo tho. Im jealous :hyper:

i have an 05 Evo 8 and with minor mods and a reflash am running 22lbs safe and reliable. I have full 3" turbo back exhaust, downpipe, header, bigger intercooler, mbc, and an intake. On a mustang dyno (which is usually lower than a dynojet for those of you who know the diff) i put down 260 to the wheels. Which isn't bad but not to my standards yet!!!! Now on a dynojet i supposedly would do like 280-290. :57:

best bang for your buck is a Dejon Tool Manual Boost Controller. set it at 21 psi.
