Thanks

must be a type the TN to TP only came out in 4 cyl 1989 - 1990
91 -92 onwards TR/TS came out in a six cyl engine

bursons /repco / supercheap / might be a mitsubiishi genuine part still

It could be one of the NZ v3000 Magnas too. If so, I would just hunt around the wreckers, such as pick-a-part in kilsyth, and look for something identical. I think you would find the second generation Magna v6's might use the same waterpump, since the engine is almost the same.

For my four cylinder 1988 TN, I got a genuine Mitsubishi - it is way better than anything aftermarket and fairly cheap. Also you get the full two hemisphere unit already sealed as one, whereas many other retailer just give you the half that bolts to the engine with the pulley on it.

The quality of the Mitsubishi pump is far better than any of its competitors.

I have fitted the half part type that fits into the block
and the impeller is light galv metal and thin

a lot more time needed to clean up the old half section and fit the gasket

so you end up with half a corroded pump
