my lil lady wants to upgrade her wheels/tires. not necessarily 24s or anything like that but whats the largest sized tire on hmmmm, an 18" wheel or so that would fit

am using a 2004 airtrek, change my wheels to 18" and shod 235/18/45 falken azenis tires, its silent, and a good performer

check this doc for finding alternative sizes, from page 10 on.

Remember, larger rim diameter means lower comfort and harder suspension, but allows more sporty driving. I got 217/55 R17 and it's quite hard on low quality roads.
Adding tyre width means higher fuel consumption and higher risk for aquaplanning. But gives better grip on dry Texas roads.

Check your local law / approved tyre size limits for your car as well. But I think in US nobody cares about tyres.

Many choice with 18" rims, I got my ATR with Weds SA70 and GoodYear RS02. RS02 is not good for light weight car as ppl said, but with over 1500kg for ATR I can feel good gripping and braking power. Also good looking.
