Hi i have a spacewagon 2.4gdi 2000.
It has been in the garage twice as it has lost power drinking petrol and loud ticking noise from engine.
The noise has been cured but still have the issue of power and petrol.
Getting very few miles to the gallon.
It has had the fuel sensor rebuilt and also redex.
car has only done 42k
any advise helpful

hi sally,

i also seem to have this problem, about the same mileage too. Have you had any results yet? I sorted the ticking noise by putting the correct oil in it but i am yet to find a solution on the rest.

best of luck

Same problem here & no solution yet but I believe it has to do with incorrect spark plugs on my car. I fitted a Bosch Super 4 coz I cant find the original NGK BKR6EKUC. It warns on the engine cover to only use correct plug. My fuel mixture smells rich also. Poor combustion coz of a shorter plug would cause loss of power and low mileage per tank. I need parts badly. Whats my best bet here in Southern Africa???

Have you tried changing your Oxygen sensor? Ive learned that this should be replaced for some time otherwise the symptoms you are saying will occur.
