Hi All,

Recently bought 4x4 Express and it seems to be getting through the juice a bit faster than I was expecting it to - I reckon I only get about 350 on a tank in city driving - given the tank holds 60 litres thats only a bit better than 20l/100k!!! it seems a bit rough. Having owned a van before I know that this is a little on the high side - but can anyone shed any light on what I can do to diagnose this excessive fuel consumption?

I guess I should add to that, that the van seems a bit gutless, which certainly wasn't what I was expecting from a 2.4.

Simple things like timing, plugs and general servicing may help your situation. If it feels gutless you may have a timing issue. 20l per 100 is excessive for the 2.4 so you definately have a problem. Take it to a good mechanic and get it checked.

I get 12 litres per 100 and mines heavily tuned (202bhp at the rear wheels).
