I've just bought my first Lancer 94. It is good on road grip and accelration, I suspect some thing wrong with the clutch I seem to have difficulty consistently changing gears smoothly. The problem apears more often when I'm changing down than up. Some time I feel I cant get into a gear. I am not sure that i am driving the car correctly as I am new to this manual gear changing cars, have been driving the automatic cars. Any help whould be appreciated.

i think your clutch plates and pressure plates need to be replaced.......... there is only one tip------- befor gearing down give a little pause to the clutch and then shift down>>>>>>>>>these r the problem with the manual tranny>>>>>>>> tel me if you get a better gear down while giving a pause in your shift

Are you sure that your rpm's are low enough before trying to downshift? I have been driving stick so long that I have started to coorespond the speed I'm going and sound of my motor to the rpm's it is at.
