I have an 51 Plate 1.8 GDI Mirage and took it for an MOT Last week , it failed due to its emissions.

I have had it diagnosed by a local garage and the Throttle Body cleaned, it now passes 1 of the 2 tests but still fails the other

They are suggesting replacing the Lamba (?) sensor to see if they are faulty but at the cost of £250 a pair im not too sure.

Their other suggestion is to send it to a dealer to diagnose ( i thoguht they already had!!!)

Any suggestions?

if it is a llambda sensor then it should show up in a diagnostic scan which will identify which is the faulty unit.changing all is a good practise in theory but can be very expensive as some cars such as the galant v6 have 5
