Don't get me wrong. I love my vehicle, aesthetically, but I bought the DE because I wanted to upgrade it myself, and there dont seem to be any reliable parts available.

This was my first brand new vehicle, so I'm guessing its not uncommon for good mods to lag a year behind?

For all you seasoned vets out there, what kind of time frame can I look forward to as far as visual/performance parts? Do they trickle out one at a time? Do they all come out at once?

Does anyone have any thoughts on how having CVT will affect the parts available to me? It's reasonably new technology, right?

I mean damn, I can't even put my own cd player in it yet because there's no kit for the annoying dash.

Someone tell me there's still hope!

There is no such thing as a set time for parts to come out. This all depends on how popular the car is. I wouldnt worry about it. Even the crapppiest cars have body kits and some sort of upgrade available. There WILL be kits for radios and whatever else you want, just be patient. Some people dont even know that there is a new lancer out and yet there are already many upgrades

DE just means its only got a certain amount of features, it still has same engine chassis etc, so dont worry so much about upgrades

I don't think anyone will give a **** about us untill the EVO comes. Then the flood gates will open. I just want some suspension, especially after getting dicked around by Ksport

I appreciate the info, fellas. I shopped around for a while before I bought my lancer. I actually bought an Eclipse first, then after laying around thinking about it for a night, took it back and get my lancer.

I'm sure I'll be able to turn it out like I want it, I just gotta be patient, apparently.

Yeah, hang in there. It's a very, very new car. But given how well its selling, I think you'll be pleasantly surprised by the number of different mods that start appearing before long.

I'm glad roadrace is working with the car, but I don't know enough about them to trust them.

I've heard greddy and hks are all working on parts for 08s, which means every one else should follow soon after.

Greedy is in the works for an exhaust system already but wont be available for a few months. AEM and DC Sports has headers, intake and exhaust in the final stages. Another site http://www.worksevo.com/ has springs available also.
