The Owners manual states it is an option if so equipped and works when rear window defroster is activated. Option is not listed in Dealer brochure for vehicle listing all options and configuration. Rear window defroster is standard all models as is power mirrors. It is not listed on the sticker for ES with sun & sound package

Thanks for reply! I live in Canada and I guess it is possible ES does come equipped with this particular option here since the dealer's brochure mentions it. We sure need it here... If only any of Canadian owners could confirm that to me... I spoke with dealer and he had no clue. I guess I'll stop by at the dealership and look for it in the car and/or its manual. Thx anyway.

I'd love heated mirrors, and would probably pay to have them installed. It was one of the features I'd really have liked in the Lancer, since my car lives outside (the little red sportscar get the garage).

I've checked with a different dealer and he said the mirrors are heated. There is no separate switch for the mirrors though - they get heated only when the rear defroster is on. Keep in mind that I'm in Canada and this might not be the case for US models.

Canadian market cars have heated mirrors standard in ES, not so in US trims.
This is a general rule, Canadian cars come more "weatherized" and with more stanard useful equipment for cold weather than US trims.

Oh, man... I wonder how difficult it would be to have the Canadian mirrors imported and installed? Because heated mirrors is definitely something I'd rock if I could. My Lancer lives outside, and in wintertime, heated mirrors would be a big help.
