When my music albums load into my stereo they are sorted by album title. This was fine for just a few CDs but now that i about 70 loaded it is a pain to find what i want.
Does anyone know of an easy way to sort the music by artist and not album? (Without having to spend hours in my car creating groups to put the albums in)

Also, i turned on a feature that unlocks my doors when i put the car into park. Nice feature. However, my car won't lock my doors when i put into drive or begin driving. Was the autolock feature left off of the lancer? Or perhaps my car has a small problem?

All I did was playing my ripped cd (or any msuic files) in music server mode and press the arrow-up function inside the touch screen and below the song titles on the left side. Then press function setting and press title edit button. Press original function and find the album you want to change and replace it with the Artist's name. Hope this helps, because this is what I did to make my music browsing easy.

I don't know about the auto lock when the car is running, but I have noticed and heard a single click upon acceleration, yet the inside safety lock of doors is still in an open position. So I have no idea if indeed the car just lock all the doors by itself.

Thanks for the suggestion but i would prefer not to 'title edit' over 70 CDs. I'll try that though if no other way. Seems like a pretty obvious and simple feature they left out for some reason.

I "title edited" 100 CDs, from:

Title

to:

Artist - Title

It's a pain in the butt, but thankfully you only have to do it once. Makes finding what you want much easier.

Unfortunately, the guy who did the music interface for the Nav system was a complete doofus on this account.

One more issue to note:

The NAV system doesn't alphabetize your last "edit" until after you digitize your next album/song. I've got one of my wife's CDs in the car and after making an edit, I digitize one song off that CD and then, immediately after, delete the new playlist. This ensures that all my albums are in correct, alphabetical order.
