I have a GTS with sun and sound. When I turn my headlights on, the display on my radio dims significantly. I was wondering if anyone else noticed it. During the day its not very noticeable, but at night you can really tell. Next time your doin some night driving, check to see if yours does the same thing. Just let me know. Thanks

Yes its supposed to do that so that the screen won't blind you in the dark. Does anyone know if there is a way to change the amount that it dims?

When we turn-on the headlights, it will send a signal to the navi system that says it's already night, thus the navi background will become dark (night color) so as not to stress-out our eyes. I think the background color (dark shades) can be changed through the set function button on the lower left-side of the navi, just navigate the function buttons under it and you will find the appropriate function, I guess it's the equipment thing button on the touch screen.

The car assumes that when you turn on your lights it's night time, and so it dims all of your dash lights so they won't be too bright and distracting.
