Hi guys.
I just got a Rally Red 08 Lancer GTS about a month ago as my first car, and I love it.
HOWEVER, about a week or 2 ago, driving down the freeway, a f'ing rock hit my windshield, and now there's a rock chip. I know there are places that do rock chip repairs free, but I was wondering if I could take it in the the Mitsubishi dealer and have them fix it. Does anyone know if rock chips are covered by the warranty?

That's going to be an insurance issue, not a warranty issue. I believe most states insist (by law) that insurance companies repair windshield damage with no insurance deductible.

Yea, I think insurance will fix it without the deductible being paid.

I hope you're with State Farm. They take care of me when that crap happens with no increase in rates or deductible.

Actually, its only a few states that enforce no deductibles for glass damage. Most insurance companies will fix it as a courtesy if the damage isn't any bigger than a quarter, as in the coin.
