Ebay?None on UK site at moment but there are some on ebay.de
Theres nothing you can really do to prevent them sticking(at least i dont think)
The most common reason for them to stick in first place is that dust and dirt get past the rubber seals around the piston, forming rust.Meaning the caliper cant move smoothly within its cylinder and so sticks.

If once you get them loosened up and cleaned they still keep sticking, you may think about getting them rebuilt(can be expensive) or buying a new set(expensive) or just getting a set off a car in scrapyard(cheap) i

Hi,
Thanks for the info sounds like it could turn out to be a expensive job. going to get them checked out next week.
Many thanks for the advice, you seem pretty knowledgable about the space star mine seems to have been nothing but bother since i got it don't suppose you know of any way to get it to run cheaper do you? currently sticking in £80 petrol each month on a 400 mile a month not sure if this is good or not??
sorry to sound so "female" on this!!
Cheers all advice welcome!!

£80 for 400 miles.....that sounds high. But that may just be the cost of fuel there. How much are you paying per litre?and what sort of driving do you mainly do(town, motorway etc)

Dont think of it as expensive, rather an investment in keeping your car alive and keeping you safe on the road.

Brakepads - have you tried your local motor factor / autoshop? I replaced the front discs and pads for less than £80 buying from the local motor factor as opposed to £200+ from Mitsi....

Fuel - is it a petrol? i get approx 500 out a tankful (approx £45) I average around 45mpg

400mile from £80 (assuming 96.6p/litre = 82litres) is approx 22mpg which is poor unless its all stop start city driving. Even a 1.3 spacestart should get high 30's

Yeah that is going to be my next stop for my pads not to sure where any are round here in norfolk though!!
not city driving round here loads of country lanes etc not much stop starting either which just confuses me even more with my petrol consumption but worked out my average mileage is 180 a week and i fill up every two weeks with average of £40 so thats 360 miles on £40 which i reckon is real poor!! not sure what to do with the old girl really.

£40 for 340 is ok for a petrol, £80 for 400 isnt!
