So far I have found 196Kbps and up don't play so well on the mp3/cd unit of your car. At least I have cd-rw so I can keep re-recording, but what a hassle to recode everything in 128 Kbps...

Anyone else having the same issues?

I'm not having these issues. What I do notice is that it takes a while to switch b/w folders on a MP3 disk.

Man that is brutal! I'm waiting for delivery of my GTS now and already started preparing new CDs with mp3 compillations. Come on, people - its not that hard to check if 196Kbp encoded mp3 works in your Lancer or not. Please report if anyone has/does not have this problem! :liebe011:

I haven't noticed any problems at any bit rates (Hi or low and everything in between).
I also haven't noticed any lag problems between folders.
Sorry guys.

Man, there is nothing to be sorry about. thanks for your reply. I guess I'll continue preparing my CDs in a high bitrate and hopefully my Lancer will not have this problem :amen:
