I have a 98 eclipse GST and was thinking about getting a lancer. I like to drive fast, so how do they do compare to my car? They only have 154hp? A stock Eclipse has 210hp. So I was wondering if it could keep up? I don't want to lay down 20 grand on somthing allot slower. Also I hear they are making a Lancer that is better then the GTS but not as good as a Evo. From what I read it will be AWD and around 250hp. Any truth to that?

The handling and style is what I like most about my GTS. You could go to a few different dealerships and test drive a few for a while. That will give you a better idea of what the car is. Hands on driving will be alot better than taking our opinions on a forum. It may not be as fast as a Spyder, but I think you will like it twice as much.

Thanks for the replies. I'll have to go check them out. I only got 60,000 miles on my 98 eclipse GST so I could probably get a good price for that and use it as a down payment for one. How is insurence for those types of cars? Probably allot more a month then my GST?

Im 19 and not married so I pay a ridiculous $165 a month with Nationwide. That was the cheapest I could find after lookin at like five or six companies. It will come down slowly with no tickets and as I get older. You can get quotes without having the car, so check around in ur area.
