I have a 2002 Galant 4 cyl and we all know the brake rotors are prone to warping. I have replaced 5 sets only to have all of them warp within six months of driving. I have recently heard that aftermarket rotors can solve this problem. I want to try.

Can everyone please give me some advice on what rotor/pad setup is the best. Specifically, has anyone had repeated rotor warping issues and bought a specific name brand and style of rotor that has solved this problem?

Rotor brand name, (cross drilled, slotted, etc...) (pads, semi-metallic, ceramic, etc...) I would love to hear your stories and hopefully your solutions!

sorry, or you need to change your driving/braking style, or get a bigger brake setup. ;)

sometimes lucas or ebc brake pads might help because of different friction/heat transfer coeficient

Make sure your rear brakes are adjusted properly to take some of the pressure off the front brakes. This solved the same problem on my buick

my 03 eclipse warped out the factory rotors in 1 trip (it was an awesome trip though! through winding mountains). RRE sells slotted rotors. they helped immensly with the soft pedal feel when you really work the brakes and it didnt drive the car long enough after to notice if the rotors warped but i can imagine that will help vent the heat out and prevent hot spots and eventual warping. but changing your style of braking is also very important. they've been making brake rotors for decades with very few service bulletins or campaigns. if you're going through that many... its probably you
