I put and underbody StreetGlow Neon kit on my 3g eclipse and every time i turn them on i have to pop the hood to get to the switch. So i was just wondering if maybe someone knew how to get the switch from the engine area into the interior through some kinda of firewall, WHERE IS IT??? I really wanna know : )

where is the fire wall?? is that you are asking?? anywho you get some longer wire for the switch and cut them and add the new wire to the switch and run it inside your car. the fire wall is the entire area thats behind the engine the whole metal area.

you may have to.if you cannot get it through the main harness that goes inside your car.it may be easier to drill a small hole.i usaully drill cuase its a pain to use the one for the harness.if you do drill make sure there is nothing behind where you are drilling.

I dont know how clean you want it to look but you can always run it through your fender if you are unsure about drilling into the firewall

ya the firewall looks a bit crowded to where there really isnt a spot u could get a drill into so i might just leave the switch in engine compartment. im liking the ideas tho any more ideas would be appreciated! Thanks

I ran a 4ga cable for my stereo system in an 03 Eclipse GTS without any drilling, cutting or modifying. You will find a big cluster of wires that goes through the inside of the front drivers side fender (to the right of the wheel under the pastic), and comes out rightunder the fuse panel under the dash. You will probaby need to remove some plastic molding, as it will be tucked behind the carpet. You will also need to undo the plastic in your fender to get the other side. The rest is easy, just be sure to zip tie any wires under your hood that would come into contact with anything moving or hot!
