Thnx Bry, it might blow the lighting fuses or worse burn the loom wires? I think i,ll have to fit a "smart" relay.I,ve put it on hold for now as I,ve got decorating to do.

hi,

i have had a look in the owners manual and it states:

light power fuse
reverse light 21w 10a
stoplamps 21w 20a
tail r 5w 10a
tail l 5w 10a

So if you tap off the back of the stop lamps the total power consuption would be 84w (4 * 21w) and therefore the current would be 7a ( 84w/12v = 7a ).

So this circuit should be able to sustain 2 more bulbs of the same power without blowing a fuse or setting the loom on fire.

i do like the idea of having low power relays operating the lights with a separate power supply and fuses but i could be and over complcated solution.

there's some food for thougt
