I bought the scion at the end of July, I really enjoy it, just got home from my second road trip to WVU in it, and it just continues to impress me, managed to chirp 4th and outrun a WRX, don't believe me fine. And then this trip we played with a 5 series, obviously he had us on the straights, but we were all over him in the turns. Granted he had just bought the car but still.
The gas mileage is not great it is 26, and its peppy, and there is no need to ever shift out of 5th on the highway. The stereo is good stock(pioneer) the rear seats recline, there is a AUX input for my ipod The headlights are amazing, and a 15.5 1/4 time.... yeah. The Brakes are good, oh and the sunroof is amazing. And the front end just looks mean.
My only complaints are that the gears are super close and because of this the gas mileage suffers, could use a 6th gear overdrive but whatever. And that the suspension is mushy... compared to my 3000 GT. But a strut bar and a set of coil overs would fix that. Also the interior is kind of cheap but the car is cheap but it is a Toyota and should run for a while. The seats a sorta flimsy, but then again I think the porsche seats are flimsy. Oh and I am not crazy about how the back of the car looks.
I bought it as a daily driver, because I needed a car that day, which sucks, I actually was on my way to pick up a used WRX and as I was rolling in it was rolling out, I was pissed. What ever I paid just over 17k new out the door with an extended warranty and Lojack, and free key replacement (damn keys with a computer chip) and If I bend a rim I have free replacements, up to 75,000 miles.
Once I run out of warranty I am going to probably turbo or supercharge it.
The factory upgrades and support is really good, TRD has everything a person could want and none of it voids the warranty including the supercharger.
Plus it looks better then the civic.
I still have the 3000gt which will be running by the end of the month.
