Hey People, I have a quick question. How many AUX inputs should the new 2008 lancer should come with if you purchased the NAV system with the car?

Peace.

As far as I know, just one set. Maybe there are others hidden, but only one visible in front of the shifter.

Only models with Rockford Sound or Navi come with Aux installed in front of the ash tray.

So are there aux inputs on the basic system just behind the head unit or do you have to have the Ipod adapter?

The input from the front is 1 and the one from behind the unit is 2 not 3.

How dificult is it to take the head unit out? What type of connection did you use? Is it 3.5mm or rca? Does anyone have a pic of the back of the unit? I really want to know what im getting into before I try and remove the unit myself.

I found photos of the ipod adaptor Mitsu sells. I took my head unit out and didn't find any aux ports either. However, after I had given up hope of hokking up my ipod to the radio I found these pics and explination of how to hook it up on another site. I will be installing one very soon!

Did the other sight say what the rectangular section in the cable is?

Does it contain resistors or other components or could you simply make your own cable after determining which pin is Left, Right and Ground?

Can you direct us to the site. I'm looking to mod the stereo as well to listen with my Zune. The wire hook up looks easy except how would you make the stereo switch over to the mp3 player? I have the Infinity P912 on my 2001 Ltd Montero

I just bought a 2009 Lancer GTS with the Sun and Sound and Navigation Package. The Navigation system was installed at the dealership and it seems to be missing the yellow rca video input. I asked the dealership about it and they treated me like an *****. Is it possible the input is in the back of the unit, just not hooked to console with the other red/ white audio inputs? Or, is it possible that they ordered athe NAVI system without it? When I went to the dealership the guy said if I was unhappy to trade in the vehicle for another, I only have 1000 miles on it! RIDICULOUS! So, if anyone could help me I would greatly appreciate it.

I am also going to call Mitsubishi Customer Service, but its Memorial Day weekend.

@greg

You don't need to post the same post over the entire forum.
---------

Anyways, I have the S+S and Navi pkg but I only have the audio rcas. What happened with my yellow? O_O?

When I saw the CNET review on it, they had a yellow video jack. And it bugs me whenever I see my AUX has the potential to view video =\

Is the Navi Package something the dealer installs? If so I'm guessing that's why the yellow jack isn't there unless the Navi came with the car from the factory. <_<
