I have a 2007 Eclipse GS i got in March. All was fine till summer came and now i've had 4 incidents of what appears to be vapor lock. I dunno a thing about cars so thats what people have told me. I drive 40 min to work in the morn, the car sits in the sun all day at work and then i drive 40 mins home. The incident always occurs if i come home and then try to go back out within an hour of coming home. The car just chokes and won't start. Twice it happened in my driveway which was annoying cus i needed to get out but not too bad. Then i happened while i was out and i got really angry and called roadside assistance. After a half hour of waiting to get that set They finally were sending a tow truck. That woulda taken another hour. 5 mins later i try to start the car and it starts so i had to call back and cancel. The next morn i took the car back to mitsubishi and they kept it all day checkin it out and tryin to recreate the problem to no avail. They see nothing wrong and can do nothing about it. They told me they never heard of this happenin and to maybe use higher grade gas.... as if gas isn't expensive enough... and people have told me the gas type wont cause this issue. This is sooo annoying with a brand new $25,000 car. My 10 year old failing Grand Am felt more reliable. <_<

Ya sure it's vapor locked?..Did they bother to check your chip in the remote? I had a similar problem and they reprogrammed my key(remote) and it went away..Might be something you'd wanna check
