I am interested in changing the factory installed head unit.
However I am concerned with it affecting the display which sits on top the console, that shows, compass, radio station etc.
Can some one offer any guidance on this.

just installed a deck in my 04 galant and i get a E COM where the FM display was i dont know if there is a work around for it looking my self

also, u know of theres any feasible way of installing a subwoofer? I cant find any space in the interior

Check out this article i wrote. I think the factory display is crap anyway so got rid of it. Big deal, it has a compass and tells you the temp. Whoopeeee.... If you have a GPS it will tell you that stuff anyway, well except maybe the height above sea level, but does anyone use that, NO

Good Day Skyrider: got a 2008 Triton 3.2 Li, had the factory head unit replaced with a soundtream unit, it did not affect the display on the dashboard.

All that will be missing (in the UK anyway) will be the radio frequency read-out in the bottom right corner.
