Alright this is my first post so I hope all goes well. Anyways I have a 1995 Eclipse and there i a metal strip above the doors on both sides of the car. There is black paint that is flaking off and I dont know what to do. I am not sure if I need to replace these 2 parts (one on each side) or if I should just paint over it. If you guys could help me out it would be greatly appreciated.

just paint them if only paint is coming off just mask arround the part with tape so you wont oversparay anithing and paint

mines completely chrome now from all the paint coming off, it looks pretty sweet too, im just hoping i dont have bad luck with rust :haha:

Ya mine was just about all chrome. lol Alright thanks for your responses I am just going to paint it and see how that goes.

uhm thats rubber that goes over top of that you can buy new rubber for it but paint wont hurt it might even look better but the stuff flaking off is rubber just is hard and weathered
