hey guys, ive got a 96 triton and am getting bored of the yellowish white lights on the taco and such and was wondering if theres a way to replace them with blue leds?

or am i out of luck

Sorry for the late post, but if you're still looking, try this:

Go to eBay Australia and enter in the search box: 280159367790 and take a look. Not sure if your 96 model is similar to my 88 model, as I think the car was redesigned in 96 or 97, but something like these will make the change easy, just pull the guages out of the dash, and replace the bulbs with these. Don't think the dimmer knob will work though, with LED's.

My Triton had green dash lights as most cars did back then, and I pulled the bulbs out, and they had green rubber sleeves on the bulbs, so I pulled them off, now I have white guage lights.

LED's usually create "hotspots" of light directly in front of them, rather than evenly spreading light across the instruments, but these wide angle LED replacements should do the trick. If you get some, let us know how they look.

Changing the bulbs for LEDs wont make much difference because the colour is in the gauge faces (or dial faces depending on which part of the world you are in)
The best way to change the colour is to find a complete replacement set of gauge faces on ebay or as an aftermarket part at an auto store.
