Hi Everyone

Can someone please tell me the correct Oil Grade (ie. 5w 30, 10w 40) to go in a W reg (2000) Carisma GDI.

I think the oil capacity is 3.8litres with the filter.

How often should the oil be changed please.

And can anybody scan the Fuse identification bit of the Owner's Manual and send it to me at junk@boxmail.biz.

Taa Muchly.

Human's I can fix, Cars I struggle with :P

Depends on where do you live. Wales in the UK? 15W40 is OK, 10W40 will keep you safe also during your summer drive to Spain and winter drive to Sweden.

API class SH or higher.

If you use "own branded" oils (like TEsco, Wilkinson etc.), change it every 5000miles to be sure. Good quality oils stand 9000miles.
(Roughly and generally speaking; the intervals subject to many things, like number of cold starts, number of cold drives, dusty enviroment....)

uk spec from new is 10w40 semi synthetic although they have recommended going fully synthetic to help reduce the carbon fault commonly known with the gdi engines.as for service intervals it is yearly or every 9000miles(again uk spec)
