Hi Guys,
I recently bought a K reg Pajero Exceed 2.5 turbo diesel intercooler. Although it is slow and does not seem to want to do more than 65mph I love it to bits.

Just recently I had it serviced and have started to notice some weird glitches which I could do with some advice with. I'm not sure if I have a problem or am expecting too much from my car.

1) I can just about hear the turbo when I start up in the morning but apart from then it sounds like any non-turbo diesel. Due to lack of sound and power I am wondering if it’s working properly.

2) Driving up hill is painful if my starting speed up the hill is low. I.e. if I come around a corner at 20mph then have to go up hill I make it up at about 25mph with the revs screaming.

3) I used to be able to whack the cruse control on at 60mph and regardless of going up or down an incline my speed and revs would remain constant. Revs at 2500. Now, even going up a tiny incline the revs will suddenly whack straight over to 4000.

4) If I try to do 70mph on the motorway my revs sit at 3000 and I get about 100 mpg per quater tank of diesel. Is this normal?.

If anyone can give me an idea of what going on I would be very grateful.
