hello all, i am wanting to derestrict my fto and also add a turbo system but would like sum general advice on how to derisrict and where to get it done???

de-restricted is pretty simple, just buy the chip and fit yourself - plenty of info on www.ftooc.org

Turbo'ing the FTO is complicated and expensive, a few UK owners have done it, but its actually cheaper to drop a VR4 twin turbo Galant engine in...

Get a decent induction kit, de cat (if you can) and new downpipes/cat back perfomance exhaust and you COULD gain upto another 20BHP, and a load more torque

de-limited mine myself. you need the speedo pod out and plastic cover in passenger foot well(the bit with hoops on.) need to run a length of wire from behind the speedo and to the foot well.you have to be brave and cut a wire on the ecu and splice one endof the wire to this, the other end to a screw post on back of dial pods. i'll dig out the exact way to do it. (done mine 7 months ago!) just letting you know it can be done on the driveway at home for 0 pennies. :57:
