I am replacing the aftermarket head unit in my 1992 Talon from the stock unit from my wrecked Galant. Getting the Galants unit out was no problem. When I open up the Talon, I find a mess of wires. After some digging, I find the original head unit hookups. As suspected, they are identical to the hookups in the Galant. The previous owner had just used an adapter instead of cutting and splicing the original wires. So I hooked up the Galant unit in the Talon and turned it on. The head unit came on, and it was even displaying radio stations and such. Only one problem: no sound from the speakers. Someone told me it might be a thing with the amp, but I dont think the Galant had an amp, and I dont think the Talon has one either; at least it doesnt have one now; though it might have had one in the past. anyone have any ideas for a solution on getting sound to the speakers?
