Hey peeps, Im thinking of building a subwoofer enclosure in the spare tire well that also houses an amp. I will make a mold of this and supply all nessecary trim panels. Im thinking that this will only rise your floor 4 inches. 2- 10" sub openings. I would prefer to use Kicker solobaric cut outs and enough room to house a large 5 ch. amp or 2 PMD Alpine amps that pack a lot of power. Thats what I would use.

If I do this how many people would be interested. Pricing... not just sure. Ive been in this business for 21 years so I know every 1 has a buget. So tell me what ya think and I can send you pics of other cars I have done to give you an idea.

Oh and yes I know this will eliminate ur spare, but for less than $50 a year you can get AAA. If this is not for then thanks for taking the time to stop by and read, but please be polite and not leave rude comments. If there is something else that you would like to c. Let me know. I may be able to build ya something.

Update: My ride will be tied up for a bit and I wont have time to use my car to mock up the enclosure for the spare tire enclosure. So any of you that wouldnt mind giving up your car for a couple weeks so I can use it to make up the protype to make a mold of, please contact me and I will give you one of these enclosures for free. The only thing you will need to provide aside from you car are the subs and amp(s). I can provide these parts to at my cost plus shipping. In order to finalize and receive your free enclosure, I requier that you make your car avaliable for display at Septembers meet at Sonic. Sept. 29 2007 at 3pm.

Heat???I guess if you are cheap. Car audio products that are not swap meet specials are built to endure extreme conditions. Also if one cant read what the enclosure is built for then yes ur right, there can be to much or to little air space. I said I would be building these enclosures for the kicker solobaric S10L5. In the 21 years I have been doing this I have been known from time to time to figure out air space. AGAIN this may not be for every one, especially the cheap and those who r dream stealers. So move on and stay stock and boring.

I dont understand the demeanor your post. I wasnt being rude, I am just saying that if you plan on putting an enclosure into the spare tire well along with an amp, you might have overheating problems if you don't have a high enough quality of fan or heatsink in your amp.

I am glad that you put up your reply and added more about the fans and heat sinks. People need to understand that if you buy cheap you get cheap and you made a good point to expand on. ty!
