Hi all, i've got a knocking/tapping coming from the power steering area which i'm convinced is the tensioner.. i've stethoscoped it and it definitely seems noisy in there.

Due to being under insured warranty, i took it to a main dealer.. typical monkeys said it was possibly due to 'Chunks missing from the power steering belt'. idiots.. why do people trust these places with their cars. They want £60 to fit a new belt on top of the £40 they already charged me to misdiagnose it.. after which the noise will no doubt still be there..

Anyway, i'm more than handy with a spanner so i've decided to do it myself.. but i dont know where to get a tensioner from? anyone know any good mitsu suppliers? I'm assuming its a fairly easy job.

Hi did you solve your problem?
I have exactly the same problem. Already replaced the tensioner and the belt. The problem is still there.
Any ideas?
