First of all hello everyone, i am new here.

I bought my Lancer 2008 GLS (equivalent to the ES) about a week ago. Now, whenever my speed gets over 120 km/h, this annoying alarm start buzzing every second or two and it won't go off until my speed gets below 120...any idea how to remove it or at least, make the limit higher than 120 (say 160)? can it be programmed by us or should it be done at the dealer's? or it cant be done at all ??

Many thanks in advance!

According to the manual I thought the "slow down" buzzer is actually a warning triggered by the CVT fluid overheating, not simply a speed regulator.

the sound always comes on after i pass 120 km/h and it comes without any warning from the display..it's a speed limiter buzzer and according to my stupid dealership, it can't be turned off!!!! wtf?? that can't be right, should be a simple matter of programming or something :(

Last time I checked, going that fast on public roadways was considered reckless driving. You put peoples lives in danger because you think you're a race car driver.

Grow up before you kill someone. Take that to the track.

A cop will find you eventually and you will lose your license.
Any **** doing 120 on a public road should not have a licence.
you are a danger to society, and obviously very selfish & immature.

you will just lose your license for 90 days in Minnesota! and there was not a car around, and its my choice to go the fast so its my life if i die doing, and you wont get anywhere in life if you dont take chances, not to say this is the best choice but it could be worse..

Right..good logic. Driving like a lunatic on public roads will get you far.

Here's a reality check- you drive a Lancer, not a Lotus. You aren't a race car driver, and your posts make you look like a fool to everyone who reads them.

Grow up and act like a responsible contributing member of society before you kill yourself or someone else. 21 years old and you still act like this? Pitiful.
