A very specific problem:: This '92 2.4 Liter fuel injection Mitsubishi motor starts and run beautifully, but after warmup the engine lite comes on and the engine shuts down. It will start and run again after a while, but repeats the same behavior.

Snap-On brand Engine diagnosis readout said the problem was in the distributor, but replacing the distributor changed nothing. The mechanic appears to be stumped, but says that he has determined that when the check engine lite comes on, the pulse to the fuel injectors cuts out.

Anyone have this problem?
