4g63 would be the best option. Its a swap thats been carried out before so if you search around im sure youll find the info you need to complete it.

helped my friend do a 4g63t conversionn in one of these.there piece of piss.other option is the 1800 dohc turbo mirage motors.from what ive seen both motors are strong and reliable.your problem that you may have is that yours will be front wheel drive?correct me if im wrong.i have a felling there is front wheel drive boxes for the 1800s your local mitsy shop could tell you.the other engine option ive seen with the mirage is a 1600dohc turbo frnt whl drive out of either ford laser or mazda familia.these are also good wee strong motors and possibly easier to adapt.let us no if you want any technichal advice.

I was wondering if a 4g63T on an Evo 8 would fit and perform in my '02 Mirage LS. I want to do a complete engine swap.

Is this the best choice?
What do I need to do to make this happen?

Thanks guys

or you could do a bigger 2.4l 4g64 swap, if you wanted you could make that all evo with the dohc head, turbo and awd transmission

so if i go with that swap instead (2.4l 4g64) how much modifications would i have to do and what would be the cost when all is said and done? just a ball park estimate because up until this moment i had no idea about that engine possiblity. i was fixed on the 4g63T swap for a while.

thanks man for the tip

get back at me if u can, poliquin40@yahoo.com
