I've decided I'll stick with the GSX. While the new evo will be pretty nice, but i'm looking for power, and the look of the 2g is just superior to the evo (in my view).
I liked the concept of the 4g someone posted earlier. I found it kinda funny they they reverted back to the 4g63 powerhouse.
What I think I'd really like to do, is build a drift gsx or a rally gsx. I really wonder how the GSX would do in drifting, we all know it's a championship rally car, but drifting is a bit newer.
As for Street Racing, to put it simple, if people weren't street racing, there would not be that much production in the aftermarket industry. You don't make a 1000hp engine to have it sit in a show. ;) I was watching an IMV Film on google the other day, really put things into perspective on street racing.
Here it is:

http://video.google.com and put the title "The Vice of Bad Folks - IMV Films" into the search.
Long video, but it's pretty true to every driver that builds up a car, and drives it on the street.
While I do respect most of your views, it's this simple. If you modify a car, performance wise, or exterior wise, your doing it for 1 reason or the other. Go fast, or look good.
You put the power under the hood for a reason, to GO. When you see someone fly up to you at 2am on the freeway, your not going to stay at your 70-75mph. I've seen many crashes, and have pulled many cars from hundreds of feet off the road after they crashed, and it's plain and simple. Dislike racing on the street, or the people all you like, but it's a simple fact, you will put your foot into it when the time comes.
Ofcourse, there will probably be more flaming for the above, but this is the internet, just like street racing, you can't stop it.
Thanks!
